Abrasion Protection

Synthetic armor pads protect slings from abrasion damage which can be caused by contact with rough surfaces such as concrete beams and structures.

Eye Buffer

Eye Buffers protect the bearing point of the eye to extend the life of the sling. Can be made to line the entire eye or just bearing points of the eye.

Eye Sleeve

Eye Sleeves protect the bearing point of the eye and covers the outside of the eye to extend the life of the sling. The width and thickness of the sling as well as the length of sleeve must be specified as the time of purchase.

Velcro Wear Sleeve

The Velcro© Wear Sleeves can be sewn to fit any size sling width. They also can be fit for web slings to protect from abrasion damage from rough surfaces or for wire rope to protect from abrasion damage and also protect load from scratching or damaging the load surface. Sleeve can be made from Cordura© or from standard webbing. The can be made removable using velcro© or sewn as a tube. There are many different ways to make these and must be specified as time of purchase.

Shackle Pin Pads

The pin area of a shackle can cause synthetic slings to cut and placing synthetic slings on the pin should be avoided. Even a new shackle can have a sharp edge where the threaded pin goes through the shackle ear. If the sling is exposed to this area, it can cut and fail. The Shackle Pin Pad is the latest Slingmax® Solution in the constant effort to ensure the ultimate rigging safety of our customers. If you must rig on the pin, protect your sling with a Slingmax® Pin Pad.

Synthetic Armor™ Pads

Synthetic Armor Pads protect slings from abrasion damage which can be caused by contact with rough surfaces such as concrete beams and structures. They are also used to protect finished or painted loads from marring. These wear pads can be made to fit any length or width sling. They can also be made in long lengths which the customer can cut into suitable sizes on the job. Double or triple thickness provides resistance for the more severe conditions. There is no maximum width and a variety of materials are used to protect slings and to protect loads.SYNARM-SL is a sliding wear pad with sewn seams along both edges. These can be equipped with handles to provide easy mobility around the sling body. SYNARM-RM is a removable wear pad with a sewn seam on one edge and a hook-and-loop fastener along the other edge. SYNARM-EE is a wear pad that fits over both legs of an endless sling to enable it to be used like an eye-and-eye sling.
